GREENSBORO, NORTH CAROLINA: NATTY GREENE'S PUB & BREWERY

My first day in Greensboro, North Carolina as I meet up with Derek and go off to lunch at Natty Greene's Pub & Brewery on Elm Street. Aside from a variety of their own brews, the food is "southern pub" as I would call it. Around these parts pulled pork is the thing and roasting that pork for hours. Being a Blue Moon beer person it turned out that they have something similar called Wildflower. Appetizer of french fries from scratch with melted cheese and bacon. Then a sandwich of pulled pork with a chipotle BBQ sauce and cole slaw. Sauce had just enough of a hint of chipotle for the zip but not too hot. Who makes the best pulled pork is always a competition and mostly from region to region. However, I later had the pulled pork at Stamey's, which is supposed to be the most famous and best. Yet, I found the pulled pork here was so much better in both not being dry and loving the BBQ sauce. Cole slaw in North Carolina also differs from region to region.
