CRUISING ALONG THE HUDSON

Sail with Seastreak on a Hudson River Fall Foliage Day Cruise with a stop at Cold Spring!

There are few things as beautiful as the change of seasons.  At Seastreak the switch from summer to fall is particularly special because of this season’s special cruises.  Every autumn we like to give our customers a chance to see the beauty of the changing leaves from the comfort of a seat on one of luxurious vessels.
Board at Highlands, NJ, or Pier 11 / Wall St. in New York in the morning, then grab a cup of coffee and take in the sights as you sit back and cruise up the Hudson.  We will follow the majestic river as she meanders under the George Washington Bridge, past the Cloisters and catch some breathtaking views of the Palisades.  Later we will cruise along the shores of Hastings-on-the-Hudson, Tarrytown, Ossining, Croton Point, Haverstraw, Stony Point, Bear Mountain, and West Point!  Your cruise will also be narrated by an expert on the history of the Hudson!
The Seastreak ferry stops in Cold Spring, NY for a leisurely lunch break, and gives passengers the chance to get off the boat and stretch their legs.   Main Street in Cold Spring is filled with quaint shops and cafes, so you’re sure to find something to satisfy your appetite.  Visit http://www.coldspringliving.com/, http://www.coldspringonhudson.com/, or http://www.philipstown.info/map/ if you like to plan ahead.  If you’d rather eat onboard and enjoy the scenery, just remember to pack a lunch!  After the stop in Cold Spring the boat heads back to NYC and NJ with its passengers refreshed and relaxed.
I'll be taking this ride and writing about the boat and Cold Springs.  An Oktoberfest trip to Bear Mountain is another fun option.  For further info on Seastreak go to www.setstreak.com
